Self-paced with Pixel · ages 4–12

Four self-paced courses. One path from first play to full portfolio.

Self-paced classes, from ten-minute play sessions to half-hour builds. Kids start wherever they fit and move up when they're ready.

Level 0 · Ages 4–6

Pixel's Play Lab

8 classes · ~10 minutes · zero reading — all play

The very beginning. Pure play for little ones: pop bubbles, sort colors, find patterns — and say a game idea out loud to watch Pixel build it, live.

  • Play With Pixel — games that listen and cheer
  • Shape Party, Color Magic, Counting Carnival
  • Invent-a-game — kids speak, Pixel builds it
  • The Big Show — a finale full of their own inventions
Level 1 · Ages 6–8

Pixel's Puzzle Box

14 classes · ~20 minutes · everything read aloud

The very first step. Pixel's treasure chest is full of tiny machines that don't work yet — kids fix them by putting picture steps in order. No reading required, no typing, ever.

  • Meet Pixel — what do robots do best?
  • The Pet Feeder — their first working machine
  • The Great Fruit Vote — a real vote, a real chart
  • Puzzle Box Showcase — a voice-tour portfolio
Level 2 · Ages 8–10

Pixel's Game Lab

14 classes · voice-first · no typing required

The starting point. Kids describe a game out loud — "a cat that catches falling tacos" — and watch Pixel build it, then test it, break it, and make it better.

  • Your First Game — describe it out loud, watch it appear
  • Sound Machine, Quiz Master, Catch & Dodge
  • Level Up — levels, power-ups, and replayability
  • Demo Day — a shareable portfolio of everything they built
Level 3 · Ages 10–12

AI Arcade

14 classes · builds real apps, not just games

The step up. Kids direct an AI copilot to build the kinds of things they actually use — a quiz app, a music studio, a chat room, a leaderboard — and learn why each one works.

  • Meet Your AI Copilot — prompting as a real skill
  • Pong Party, Snake Remix, Platformer Playground
  • Beat Box Studio, Mood Board Maker, Chat Room
  • Grand Showcase — presenting a finished body of work

How a self-paced class works

90 seconds in, they're building

Every class follows the same rhythm, so kids always know what's next — and parents don't have to sit beside them.

1

Pixel teaches

A friendly robot instructor walks through one real idea — what makes a game fair, why instructions have to be specific — out loud, with slides.

2

Your kid describes

They say what they want to build in their own words. The AI writes the code. The thinking, the choices, and the wild ideas stay theirs.

3

They test and fix

It's never right the first time. Kids play it, spot what's boring or broken, and revise — the create-test-revise loop, over and over.

4

It goes in the gallery

Every build is saved to their gallery and their portfolio page — a real link they can send to grandma.

Built for real classrooms first

Tested with hundreds of kids before it was ever sold

This curriculum ran in live classrooms, summer camps, and after-school programs — the version you get is the one that survived actual 9-year-olds.

No student accounts

Kids join with a first name and a class code. No email, no password, no personal information collected from children.

Safety built into the AI

The AI copilot runs through our own filtered proxy with kid-safe rules — it builds games and nothing else.

Works on the device you have

Chromebook, laptop, or iPad in a browser. Nothing to install, nothing to update.

Standards-aligned

Every class is tagged to the 2026 CSTA K–12 Computer Science Standards — real CS, not screen time.

Self-paced, teacher-shaped

Each class has a warm-up, direct instruction, a build, and an exit ticket. Kids can pause and pick back up any time.

A portfolio at the end

Courses end with Demo Day: a shareable page of everything your child made, presented in their own words.

"I didn't think computer science was for me — now I've built my own game."

Every enrollment sponsors a kid who can't pay

Create A Loop is a nonprofit. We built this curriculum for under-resourced public school classrooms, and that's still the point — family enrollments fund free access for Title I schools, where the same platform, the same courses, and the same teacher dashboard cost nothing.

See it before you buy anything

Open Class 1 of Pixel's Game Lab right now. It's the real class — about 90 seconds in, your kid is talking to Pixel and watching their idea show up on screen. The free class runs about 25 minutes.
